What history records

Reporting history is the append-only timeline of every census submitted for a facility. Each entry carries the reporting date, the figures submitted, the time of submission and the user who submitted it. Nothing in the timeline can be edited or removed from the application.

Original entries and corrections

Where a reporting date has more than one submission, the most recent is the current value and the earlier ones are superseded. Both remain visible, so a reviewer can see what was reported at the time a decision was made as well as what the corrected figure became.

Using history in a review

History answers three questions an auditor usually asks: what was reported, when, and by whom.

  1. 1Open the facility and select Reporting history
  2. 2Choose the reporting period under review
  3. 3Identify superseded entries and their replacements
  4. 4Cross-reference the locked bed extract for the same period

Reported zero versus not reported

A reported zero-occupancy day is a real submission and appears in history. A day with no submission has no entry at all and is shown as not reported. The two are never merged.
